my fiancee ultrasound report say as below: There is mild PCS separtion of right kidney other wise both kidney is normal in size and echo pattern.no mass or calculus is seen.right kidney measure 10.4 cm and left kidney measure 10.4 cm in lenght She is having acute pain in stomach pain. what it means and how could it be cured and what kind of investigation should be taken.
Mild PCS separation can be due to a small stone which is stuck in the urethra which is a passage connecting the kidney and urinary bladder. This stone has not been detailed in the report. It is also important to know if she is having any bladder infection which can be ruled out on urine tests. It is best to consult a surgeon for complete clinical examination and then to go ahead with any specific investigation depending on the point of maximum pain. Since ultrasound is otherwise normal, it can be due to ulcer or infection in stomach and intestines.
