General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Coarse liver parenchyma is a sonographic description indicating the loss of uniform smooth hepatic echotexture in the liver.

If hepatitis testing are -ve, then, most probably it could be due to hepatic fibrosis: hemochromatosis, or even malignancies (primary or metastasis). etc.

Liver biopsy is recommended further together with ct-scan of abdomen for further evaluation. Immediate consultation with gastroenterologist is highly recommended.

Wish fast recovery.
