What Does Mild Collection Seen In Pod Area Mean?
hi.. i m 27 years old married women. i m trying for a baby from last month. few days ago i suffer from a stomach pain and in ultrasound reports dr. found that there is a a massive gas shadow in over abdomen.p.u.syndrome. with this a mild collection seen in pod area.. what is this mild collection means.

Mild collection in the pouch of Douglas (POD) implies collection of fluid in the POD.
The collection in POD suggests ovulation.
Ovulation is a positive sign and it implies that you can conceive since the ovum/ egg is being released from the ovaries.
The stomach ache may be due to gastritis which is causing accumulation of gas i the abdomen.
Do you have history of indigestion e.g. regurgitation, heart burning, water brash etc ( sour water coming in mouth).
Consult your doctor with the reports for further workup.
