What Does Mild Pain In Left Testicle At The Top Suggest?

I have mild pain in my left testicle at the top (i can touch it and it hurts). both testicles feel the same so it is not a lump on one side and not the other it is just the left side hurts. Also my lower back is sore (could be unrelated). just concerned given where it is.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Pain on top of the testicle may due to various causes like muscle strain, epididymitis (swelling of the sperm ducts), injury, varicocele (enlarged scrotal veins), or infections. Testicular cancer is a rare cause of testicular pain.

It is always important to monitor any pain and to seek medical attention. It is recommended to see a doctor to perform a physical examination to determine the cause of the pain.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thanks.
