What Does Milky Discharge After Depo Shot Withdrawal Indicate?
i have been off the depo shot for about six weeks now and just the last couple of days have had really sore breasts and can squeeze out a small amount of milky discharge.i haven't had a period.is there a chance i may be pregnant or just side effects from the withdrawl of the shot.i was on it for 8 years.
I think that there might be hormonal irregularities as a result of prolonged use of Depo shot for 8 years. I would suggest you to have a prolactin test done and also a thyroid profile test done as thyroid and prolactin abnormality can lead to these symptoms. However, they can be corrected with medicines, pregnancy is a remote possibility, and pregnancy has to be ruled out by a urine pregnancy test.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
