What Does Missing Heartbeat Without Symptoms Of A Miscarriage Mean?

Hi I had my first ultra sound last wed that put me at 8 weeks pregnant. They couldnt find the babys heart beat they told me i was going to have a miss carriage. its been almost five days now and no signs of a miss carriage and i feel sick to my stomach almost everyday. how long would it take for my body to have a miss carriage? And should i go in for a follow up apt just to make sure?

hi,its not necessary that if heartbeat has nt come at 8 weeks it is a case of missed abortion.i would recommend you not to take any abortifacient pills and wait and watch.in case its missed abortion bleeding will start spontaneously or otherwise it can be delayed conception which you can confirm with a repeat scan in 2 weeks where the heartbeat might appear.all the best take care.
