What Does My CT Scan And X-ray Reports Indicate?

Good morning Doctor, My father met with an accident 4 days ago, two places got injured, 1. Head injury, brain nerves, x-ray shows blood clot at one place, from day one, he is in conscious and no vomits. In 3 times repeated CT scan report says, there is no increment in the blood clotting, so Doctor said, he is OK now, no need of any surgery, it gets cure with help of medicines only, you can go head for the broken bone surgery. 2. In X-ray reports, right leg below nee main bone got broken and beside nee another thin bone got displaced, doctor said, surgery with titanium rod, as it is an accident, as there is a wound at place of broken bone, doctor says there could be chances of septic. Why? What could be the right steps? Is brain nerves blood clotting could affect later time (or during broken leg surgery)?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
The CT scan has ruled out presence of any fracture of skull bones and formation of blood clot.
Since, head injury and clotting in brain is ruled out, there is nothing to worry.
X-ray reveals fracture of leg bones and your doctor has suggested to go for surgery to fix the fracture.
The approach is appropriate wherein your doctor first ruled out any head injury and now he has suggested leg surgery to fix the fracture.
There is high chance of infection or sepsis in open fractures after road traffic injuries.
The infection can be avoided by antibiotics- both oral and injectables.
Thus, do not worry and follow the advice of your doctor.

Thanks and take care
