What Does My CT Scan Report Indicate?

Respected doctor I am 24 years of female.My left side of head is paining a lot from last 15 days.i have done a ct scan which shows impression of diffuse cerebral atrophy.i dont know what dose this means.i have consulted ent doctors they are giving me painkillers which is not at all helping.i only feal relaxed the time i am sleeping.it pains a lot and it feels like its burning inside.i have still not consulted any neurologist please guide me and help me to overcome this pain.

It means that your left brain is less developed than usual most probably the cause in your age is head trauma. Have you had one? To be sure of this "impression of diffuse cerebral atrophy" CT; the best is to perform an MRI exam of the brain. It is more sensible for this kind of deseases. As for the pain you have to consult a neurologist and to discuss with him causes and treatment of your illness.
