This is a Doppler that was preformed to my grandmother 95F; any advice on the action that should be taken? Color Doppler Study of LT L.L Veins: • The distal external iliac, common femoral, superficial femoral popliteal and posterior tibial vein as well as the intra-muscular calf venous sinuses on the LT lower limb are seen distended with echogenic material, showing incompressible walls with only segmental flow seen on color Doppler interrogation denoting progressive recanalization... Extensive LT lower limb DVT with early segmental recanalization noted. • Diffuse subcutaneous edema seen.

It is a deep vein trombosis and if left untreted it can be life threatening, the most dreadfull complication is pulmonary embolism. So your mother have to take anticoagulation therapy.
