I have had LV heart failure for six years. I have an echocardiogram about every two years. The initial were all 25 -30 EF and the last one two years ago was EF 20. These were mostly done by the same person. I recently changed doctors and had an echo today and the doctor said my EF is in the 40 range. That would be wonderful, but I am afraid to trust it, as it seems unlikely for a turn around after six years. How often do positive discrepancies occur and what should my next step be?
