What Does My MRI Report Indicate?

I am 52 And just had a back MRI done because I am having my 2nd back surgery done next week (the 1st back surgery was 11 weeks ago but I did not heal so they have to go back in) Anyway this new MRI was done with contrast where the one months ago was not. The new MRI report noted that they found an 18 MM round mass at the junction of the lower uterine segment and uterus on the left... What could this mean? do I need to call my family doctor. I m surprised that the neurologist who is doing the surgery wouldn t have pointed this out... what should I do? Is this something that needs to be addressed immediately

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Most probably it will be fibroid. It is nothing but a benign (non cancerous) tumor or uterus. Consult a gynaecologist and get evaluated. Nothing much to worry and the size is small as of now no treatment is required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
