I had an MRI done, sever hearing loss, headaches, vertigo, MRI impression reads Minimal fluid within Bilateral Hypoplastic mastoid air cells. What does this mean my follow up with ENT isnt for another two weeks, the vertigo is bad pain behind my ears is severe.
Mastoid air cells are part of the temporal bone which is slightly under developed in your case. When there is middle ear infection, there is a tendency of fluid to accumulate in the mastoid air cells. This is known as mastoiditis. You need to consult an ENT to confirm middle ear infection, acute or chronic. In the mean while please avoid entry of water into your ears. Do not ignore any ear infection as it can reach the brain and get dangerous.
