What Does My MRI Scan Report Indicate?

Hi. I had a cervical discectomy and neck fusion spanning through c5-c7. My post operative MRI says I have a small SYRIX at the margin of c7 post operative; however my regular MD read my MRI report and say my MRI is normal; however the report says I have a syrinx on the cephalad margin of C7, then it says " probably not clinically significant" . Is this normal? I have had lost of arm weak ness, limited mobility in neck, head pressure , difficulty swallowing and lot of sinus type pressures on left side of face and head and I'm told every thing is normal and nor clinical reason for pain. I'm not sure how serious to look into tis Syrinx thing or if it could be causing me the weakness and pain, or if this is something normal on a post op cervical MRI? Is it normal to see this? surgery was done 7.11.15.

Thank you

Hi
I have gone through your complaints and reports.
Syrinx is nothing but dilatation of central canal.here in your mri syrinx at C7 is due to postoperative change due to focal pull of cord due to scar or adhesion.dont worry.its quite common in post op cases.this may not be cause for your symptoms.
Thank u
