Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I have been dealing with on and off episodes of pain in my left arm and leg for almost 13 years now. Dizzy spells, little memory lapses, tingling and twitching in my fingers, arm, and leg (all on left side). I have recently been experiencing a wet feeling in my lower left leg and it s not wet. My Primary sent me to a neurologist who preformed an emg and an ultrasound of my neck and temple area. (I do not have results of that yet). However he did send me to hospital for an MRI. I have received the results to my email of that. Spine read normal, but my brain MRI results read this: IMPRESSION: Couple punctate nonspecific foci of signal change or subcortical right frontal lobe otherwise normal brain MRI. I am not sure what that means. Can you shed any light on this for me please?
Not much~!cannot say in your particular case, but generally, these are called UBO's unidentified bright objects.
While they statistically correlate with brain problems like stroke and Alzheimer's, it is because they correlate with other real risk factors like atherosclerosis; which they might actually be a picture of; but we don't know. Basically, these are quite common after middle age.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
