What Does My Pelvic/Transvaginal Ultrasound Report Indicate?
Is there any need for concern with the following findings of my Pelvic/ Transvaginal Ultrasound: The myometrium is homogeneous. Endometrial thickness is 5mm. There is a 1.9 x 0.4 x.0.9cm polyp within the cervical canal. There is a small amount of fluid within the cervical canal. There is no evidence of ovarian torsion. There is a 1.5 x 1.3 x 1.2cm simply cyst within the right ovary. Thank you.
Your report suggests benign findings. Major finding is presence of polyp in cervical canal. It is a benign mass on the surface of cervical canal.Often it doesn't causes any symptoms but they may cause irregular menstrual bleeding. You may need removal of polyp.
There is a simple cyst in right ovary,it may be a follicular cyst and this is physiological. Small amount of fluid in cervical canal may be due to menstruation.
Other finding are normal.Uterus and endometrial thickness are normal.
