What Does My TPO Indicate Regarding Hashimoto's Disease?

My TPO Immunology Results: 2132 IU/mL what does this mean. I was told that I have Hashimoto's disease. But I don't understand the purpose of doing a TPO test. Please help answer this question for me. so I can better understand my disease. 56 year old Latino woman ( diabetic, asthmatic, Hypertension, High Cholesterol )

TPO are thyroid peroxidase antibodies, i.e. antibodies that cause hashimoto's disease. You have a very high range which confirms hashimoto's thyroid disease. Continue taking treatment as advised by your physician. Thank you
