Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi? I have a constant pricking on my belly, both sides below. I have regular sleepless nights and excessive sweating whenever i work. I was tested positive for h.pylori and i have started taking antibiotics but the symptoms are not getting better. I get heart burns almost on a daily basis. T3, T4 & TSH tests showed a slightly lower than the biological range on TSH. Ultra sound results noted too much gases and acid on upper tummy. What could be the problem?
All your symptoms are perfectly in toto with your diagnosis of h pylori infection, increased acidity may cause sweating and palpitations. Also you should be taking higher Proton Pump inhibitors along with antibiotics of choice for H pylori. In such cases in our OPD, we advise a diagnostic endoscopy with hemogram, and prescribe patients Clarithromycin, Amoxicillin, along with Pantoprazol 40mg + domperidone 10 mg BD . Panto to be taken 20 mins before food.
always take allergies into consideration before starting any meds. consult your physician if you are unsure about anything. Your TSH report doesn't look to be causing symptoms, a thorough reading and exact values are required for us to pull out any significant diagnosis out of that
wish you well
thanks
