Hi! Good day doc. Just got my xray result and it says that I have a fibrotic hazy opacities in my upper lung. Can you pls explain what is it and if it is fatal? And is it curable and how will it be cured? Thanks a lot. From juanito simon of Philippines.
The x-ray report shows that there is some fibrosis in the upper part of your lung. To be honest, it cannot be said for sure as what could be the cause without history and ct scans, but it is rarely a serious condition. It may be caused by an infection like TB, drugs, autoimmune disease, or pneumonia in the past. So to know more about it we need detailed History and examination of your lung and Scans of the chest.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
