Hello and welcome to HCM,
The
ultrasound reveals endometrial thickening of 13 mm.
This is increased thickening for your age i.e. 54 years.
Endometrial thickening is seen in conditions like endometrial hyperplasias and endometrial cancers.
Endometrial thickening is particularly alarming in women of post-menopausal age group or women in peri-menopausal group.
The
ovarian cyst is 2 cm in maximum diameter.
Cysts are common in ovaries, however, again in post menopausal and perimenopausal women, the ovaries are not functioning so it is not normal to find a cyst.
Presence of cyst implies ovulating ovaries and functioning endometrium.
The
biopsy was done to rule out endometrial hyperplasia or endometrial cancer.
However, the biopsy report has come to be negative on two occasions i.e. no hyperplasia or cancer is detected.
You need to remain alert for any change in menstrual status= post menopausal bleeding or any other menstrual abnormality and report to your gynecologist.
Thanks and take care
