Hi, I recently had fullbloods taken. The results were concerning. My bmw is 29.85, diabetes level of 40 but my cholesterol is 9.1. Two weeks ago I started a course of statins 20mg. Almost within 3 days I couldn t get an erection and when I did it was very soft. I went back to my doctor this morning and he told me that this is not a recognised side affect of the statins. He has changed the prescription to 10mg rosuvastatin starting today. When I went to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription the pharmacist told me the loss of erection may be the first sign of a blockage in the vessels. They say doctors differ and patients die.
