General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the presence of Polymorphonuclear cells in sputum indicate bacterial infection of the lung through strep neumonie or others.

* As the AFB ( acid fast bacilli ) report is negative, it is assured that there is no reactivation of tuberculosis.

* Kindly get prescription of antibiotic, decongestant and other supportive therapy from your pulmonary care physician and get well soon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
