Hello,

You will need to have regular ultrasounds in the next month or two to see if the baby is growing well. Sometimes, if a woman did not have an ultrasound in the first months of pregnancy, she may think she is a certain age of pregnancy but she is less or more. This is why follow-ups are needed to make sure if there was a problem in calculating the pregnancy age.

If the pregnancy age is accurate then there are a few conditions that may affect the growth of the baby from infections that the mother may have had during the pregnancy to genetic conditions or problems with the placenta.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.

I wish you good health.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
