Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does My Endoscopic Ultrasound Report Result Indicate?
I have sarcoma cancer on the smaller part of my pancreatitis, I live in Iowa went to u.w. hospital, Madison so. For an endoscopic ultrasound with a fine needle aspiration, be for that. I had, altra sound, c.a.t. scan and pet scan. They say I need to see an oncologist. I. Also have noduls [ not sure What they are called] they say I have 3 of them on my liver. 1 is less than 1 inch, the other 2 are about 2 inches. I also have a spot on my lung and some behind it. I have had breast cancer. 10. Yes ago. So I guess I have a lot of question. I just don t know what to ask first.
I have read your query, nodules in the liver can be benign or it can be malignant or metastatic. Generally, the nodules which are less than 1 cm are benign. We need little more info on what are you describing as a spot in your lung did they said its a mass? or a nodule? I totally understand the confusion you're going through for now you have to rule out:
1) Possible liver nodule.
2) Possible metastasis in case of a metastatic nodule.
An oncologist will help you to clear this out based on your report, past history and present as well.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Moses John Wesley,
General & Family Physician
