Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Right Ovary: 3.5 x 1.6 x 3.1 cm, volume 9.1 cc. Normal echotexture. There is a 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.5 cm hypoechoic mild complex lesion in the right ovary indeterminate although may a collapsing follicular/corpus luteal cyst. Normal flow is documented in the right ovary. Left Ovary: 3.6 x 1.8 x 2.1 cm, volume 7.1 cc. Along the left ovary is a partially exophytic 2.1 x 1.7 x 3.3 cm oval structure which may represent an exophytic cyst or possibly hydrosalpinx. Normal flow is documented in the left ovary.
As per my clinical experience, the ultrasound report of right ovary indicative of follicular or corpus luteal cyst is absolutely normal physiologic finding in relation to menstrual cycle phase. The left ovary growth or hydrosalpinx is also a benign condition, which does not pause a threat of cancer most likely.
Though such cases are usually associated with pelvic pain, discomfort and abnormal menstrual pattern, if you can provide your concerns for the reporting, I can still guide further precisely in this matter.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
