my Husband has a small amount of blood in his urinalyasysis. He has been a on a full dose aspirin for 20 yrs for cardiac reasons. Could this be the cause? The rest of his urine test amd lab results are normal including his Renal Panel which was excellent. He has now dropped to a baby aspirin in case this is the culprit.
blood in the urine may be due to various causes but in your case it is not absolutely due to aspirin bacause aspirin attacks the protective prostaglandins in stomach and cause gastric bleeding. For cause of blood in urine you should go through renal IVP x ray done to rule out stone /obstruction.Also invesigate whether you are suffering from any renal infection or not causing glomerulonephritis.
