What Does My Lab Test Report Indicate?

I am 62 and did function test of which I blew 3 sets of3 and then a 10 minute nebulizer treatment and then blew another 3 sets of 3. the computer readout stated I had an equivalent lung condition of a 94 yr. old. What does this mean for the future? My o2 level is 94 when breathing shallow and then 98 when I take deep breaths.

Hello,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
The test you did is called spirometry.
It shows the lung functions and the force by which your lungs can push the air out.
It usually differentiates between asthma and COPD.
Saturation abobe 90% is normal for any person. Your both readings of 94 and 98 seems ok.
But the pre and post nebulization diffrences are the main reading which should be noted.
So I would advice you to see the diffremce between FEV1/FVC ratio in both the tests and compare the diffrences. If its significant then it can be asthma. If not then COPD.
I hope this information helps.
Thank you
