Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am worried about USG ( TVS ) of my Wife. It says " Uterus is bulky in size with deformed contour. Multiple hetrogenously hypoechoic SOLs of varying sizes noted both in anterior and posterior Uterine myometrium, two larger lesions are seen in anterior wallmeasuring approx 5.26cmX4.76cm and 3.91cmX3.30cm. Endometrial canal is compressed by the SOLs and could not be delineated properly.
I am more worried about the impact of this on Fertility as we are trying for pregnancy
A hypoechoic SOL (Space occupying lesion) is usually of a fibroid. As a physician I would like to tell you that there is very little problem to getting pregnant while fibroids are present. But still there are chances of miscarriage and early abortion while having fibroids in uterus.
Thus I would suggest that you should consult with your Obgy specialist about this and after that only decide to move forward with pregnancy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Abhijeet
