What Does My Obstetric Ultrasound Scan Report Indicate?

Hi, I am 27 weeks pregnant. I have gone through obstetrics scan in that they specified there is a fluid collection in the cervix canal. What does that mean? Is that impact on my child or Is there any possible of early birth. My cervical length is 3.9 cms

Hello,

The normal cervical length should be more than 3 cm. This means your cervix is normal in length. However, the fluid in the canal is something that should be assessed more closely.
If it is amniotic fluid, that can cause a problem. If you notice any clear fluid discharge from the vagina, you should see your obstetrician on the same day as it may be a sign of early delivery.

All the best.
