What Does My Radiology Report Indicate?

My radiology report states that there is a 12 mm amorphorous density projecting over the medial mid left renal shadow: likely a renal concretion. At least 3 left hemipelvic calcafications are present, one of which may represent UVJ calculus. Additional vascular calcifications prejectover the sacrum.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.

The report is indicative of kidney stones.

The report of CT scan is suggestive of stones in the ureterovesical junction (junction of ureter with bladder). The kidney on the left side also shows a single stone measuring 12 mm in size.

Kindly consult a urologist for further evaluation and treatment.

The vascular calcifications that project over the sacrum are suggestive of phleboliths (calcified rings in the wall of a pelvic vein). They are of no particular pathological significance.

Hope this answers your query.

Best wishes.
