Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I did yesterday a check up lab. Gamma gt was 100, ALT was 62 , cholestrol was 224, others was normal. am completly fit, make a regular sport, drink 1 beer every about few weeks. I have no symptoms, and was alittle worry about that ... any ideas??
It appears you have hyperlipidemia with fatty liver. You get one ultrasound of liver to confirm it. What's your age, any smoking, or alcohol? You need to have healthy lifestyle like avoid fatty, oily and high calorie diet. Have low salt diet and monitor blood pressure regularly. Regular exercises like brisk walking, jogging according to your capacity at least 30 minutes a day and 5 days a week.
Eat lots of green leafy vegetables, fruits, fish once or twice a week, and avoid meat. Avoid smoking and alcohol if any. There shouldn't be abdominal fat deposition or obesity. You need to be started on cholesterol medicines like Atorvastatin. Get your repeat lipid profile after 6 weeks and sugars tested once.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Sagar Makode
