What Does My Sisters CT Scan Mean?

hello sir my sister is suffering from sinus the ct scansays
mild DNS to left and right osteo meatal units and both
spheno - ethmoid recesses are blocked .
polypoidal mucosal thickening seen in both ethmoid, sphenoid ,
frontal and maxillary (rt>lt) sinuses noted

Thanks for writing in.

The CT scan shows that the central bony part of the nose is slightly crooked. There is inflammation and block of secretions in the sinuses and this can cause headache and nose block in most patients. The results of CT scan are to be discussed with an ENT surgeon concerning the need for surgical correction of the deviated nasal septum.
