Hi Doctor. My father has undergone Abdominopelvic Sonography Test. Result was quite normal as I read through the report as everything is normal. But in the impression it was mentioned MILD HEPATOMEGALY WITH COARSE ECHOTEXTURE which I was not able to understand. Could you please give me the insight about what exactly it is?
It suggest some kind of chronic hepatitis or just hepatosteatosis which 305 of normal peoples have. You have to do some blood testliver analysis like SGPT-SGOT, Bilirubine total and fractured. If they are ok don't worry, if they are not you have to do other lab tests and a Hepatologist doctor visit so to make a differential diagnoses for example; alcoholism, virus B or C Hepatitis, medication Hepatitis etc...
