What Does My Thyroid Biopsy Report Indicate?

I had a fna on 3 nodules found on my thyroid. 1result came back good the other 2 suspicious. Doing further testing on the samples. Will get back to me in a wk or 2. Is this normal. if its cancer should the thyroid be removed as soon as possible. Very concerned and worried. I had my prostate removed 10 months ago because of cancer.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello,
thank you for your query
dont worry, let the remaining reports come to you.
if it is proved to be a papillary carcinoma of thyroid you have to go for a total thyroidectomy and lymph node dissection(depending upon stage).thyroidectomy will not be a serious problem because after operation uwill be given l-thyroxin suppliment daily.
for other types of carcinoma further treatment depends on stage.
dont worry.get the reports..consult your ENT surgeon.
hope this is helpful.
