What Does My Transvaginal Ultrasound Report Indicate?

Hi, My age is 30yrs. N I have been trying since last 6 months but didn t get pregnant. I always have regular period cycle of 28 days, this month I had my transvaginal ultrasound on cycle day 13 and small ovarian follicles were detected... one of 9mm and another of 11mm. I want to know weather these follicles will grow more and do I have any chance of getting pregnant. Or I have to seek medicines...

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
Understand your concern
Normal size of ovarian follicle jut before ovulation is 16-18 mm.
You have small follicle size (11-13 mm).
It may increase for that repeat the USG after 1-2 days.
It could be a PCOS.
I would suggest to consult the gynecologist and undergo reproductive hormone analysis to confirm the hormonal imbalance.
progesterone pill, birth control pill, metformin and comiphene citrate should help in conceive.
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
