Hello,
Endometrium thickness varies at different times of your cycle or your age. In premenopausal women, endometrial thickness of 7-16mm is normal in the secretory phase of the cycle. However, in postmenopausal women, 18.7 mm thickness may need evaluation for polyps,
endometrial hyperplasia, or cancer.
Your treating doctor may order an
endometrial biopsy or repeat scan if this is unusual for your cycle. According to the report that you have provided here, EMS appears to split at fundus. Since the report is unsure, you may need a 3D ultrasound, MRI, or
hysteroscopy to confirm if it’s septate.
If septate, it may be surgically correctable. A
simple cyst is a fluid-filled sac; most are normal and harmless; however you may need a repeat ultrasound in 6–8 weeks.
Complex cysts require closer monitoring than simple ones as they may be related to infection,
endometriosis, or cancer.
They are not always malignant but need to be watched. You may need a CA-125
blood test or further imaging based on symptoms. Trace free fluid in the posterior cul-de-sac is not alarming unless there’s pain, fever, or heavy bleeding. However, infection or rupture should be ruled out. This interpretation is informative, not diagnostic. You are advised to follow up with your gynecologist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
