What Does My Ultrasound Report Result Suggest?

Hi. My last LMP was october 1,2013. I had my first transvaginal ultrsound last november 14 but the doctor didnt see any embryo yet. Just a gestational sac. She told me to repeat ultrasoun after a month. So i did. I had my second ultrasoun last december 17, they saw a well decidualized gestational sac, a yolk sac and an embryo but no heartbeat yet. According to the size of the embryo, i was 6w1d. OB again adviced me to repeat after a week. After my second ultrasoun, i had bleeding for 4 days. OB gave me meds and i had to stay at home and bedrest. Yesterday was my third ultrasound. What they saw was as a gestational sac with irregular and smooth contours, a yolk sac but no embryo. Im so confused. does this mean that my baby is gone? No hope anymore? Or should i wait still and do another ultrasound? Thanks!

Hi, thanks for writing..
Get an hcg blood test and repeat after 48 hrs. If doubling is seen it means a healthy growing pregnancy. Repeat another scan after a week.If there is an irregular contour of gestational sac in the present study, it is unlikely to be a normal pregnancy. Dont worry. Hope I have answered your query.
