What Does My Ultrasound Result For Nodule Growth In Thyroid Indicate?

had an ultrasound on my thyroid. previous size of nodule was 6x3 mm. Current size is 8x2 mm. It has been two years between ultrasounds. Is this a significant growth? I am 68 female, had radiation treatments and xray on my thymus when an infant. I am hypo-thyroid and experience fatigue. My Rx is Synthroid .088 mg. thank you.

Radiologist 's  Response
Hello

Your ultrasound findings may suggests marginal growth in size of nodule.
You may need clinical correlation and I don't think it is concerning.
Variation may be due to different radiologist.
You should continue taking thyroid supplementation.
It is difficult to comment whether it is related to radiotherapy or not.
Single X-ray is not expected to cause nodular thyroid.
You may need follow up scan only.

Get well soon.
Take Care
