General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my surgical experience, the endometrial thickening is increased due to underlying hormone imbalance particularly that of estrogen and others which is responsible for the heavy flow of menses. In my clinic, I do recommend:
- Hormone therapy as NCNorm P with high dose progesterone for a period of 3 days to control acute bleeding
- Supportive therapy with tranexamic acid and ethamsylate
- Iron supplementation to avoid development of anemia

Later depending upon the clinical response within period of time, one may have to continue further medications and if not responsive endometrial curratage with biopsy may be warranted ahead.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
