What Does My Ultrasound Scan Report Indicate?

I have a 20mm embedded splinter in my left foot. It happened March 28th, so is two months old. An Xray was taken, it showed nothing and an ultrasound was done 10 days later. That showed the wood sliver. A small procedure was done in general surgery with a small amount of thin wood pieces removed. I continue to have crazy internal itching. April 27 another try with the podiatrist.with no further shards found. Questions; why the internal itching and if there s still splinter pieces is that a problem? I should have started off with I have DMII and have had bilateral knee replacements in 2008 + 2010 and a R knee revision in 2013. The only antibiotics I ve had were the two Clindamycin prior to the last procedure.
