What Does My Ultrasound Scan Test Report Indicate?

Hi, I had an ultrasound done and the result say that I have mildly prominent bilateral submandibular lymph nodes, which measure less than 1cm, likely reactive. 3 month after ultrasound I went back to the doctor and they are still swollen, they are tender to the touch. Is this something I should worry about?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that there may not be a reason for concern.

Reactive nodes occur as a result of inflammation or infection in a particular area.

A full blood count should be done to check for any evidence of infection or to rule out more serious causes.

I hope this helps
