What Does My Ultrasound Scan Test Report Indicate?

My ultra sound showing a baby of 38 weeks by age but the body size is of 36 week with slow growth in abdominal area having less then adequate fluids. Now I don't know the medical terms and difficulty understanding an intrauterine pregnancy, Doctor told me that if all goes well I should deliver the baby by 2nd May but if the trend of undergrowth continue they will go for an operation maybe today or tomorrow. Please explain to me in details if me or my baby are at any health risk?

Hi, I think your baby size is fine. At 38 weeks, you can see a baby of 36 weeks. Ultrasound shows a variation of 3 weeks in last trimestee. But the fluid level in your case is low as mentioned in report. The exact fluid level is mentioned as AFI. You can see this in report. So, if AFI is less than 8, it means fluid is less. You may need an early termination. Hope it helps.
