What Does Negative Result In HPT With Missed Periods Suggest?

I missed my period last month then I was having 8 pregnancy tests already and it always comes out negative and Ive gained weight so maybe this is the reason why I missed my period. Then I started using contraceptive pills. But this week I noticed that my breast is getting bigger and my areola too and it s getting lighter. And I ve noticed green veins. What does this mean? Am I about to have my menstruation or I might be pregnant?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Once you have started with contraceptive pills and the pills are taken on time, there is no possibility of pregnancy practically.
Thus, conception is not likely if you are taking oral contraceptive pills.
Contraceptives cause withdrawal bleeding regularly.
It is different to the usual menstrual bleeding.
Engorgement or enlargement of breasts does occur during pregnancy but it is during late pregnancy.
When not pregnant, engorgement can occur under the influence of progesterone - a female hormone.
Oral contraceptive pills contain combination of estrogens and progesterone thus, there is a possibility that the oral contraceptive pills could be causing the breast engorgement.
However, I suggest you to consult your gynecologist for clinical assessment to rule out other causes of breast engorgement and thus plan management.

Thanks and take care
