A bicornuate uterus is a type of congenital uterine malformation or müllerian duct anomalies in which the uterus appears to be heart-shaped. Bicornuate uteri have two conjoined cavities whereas a typical uterus has only one cavity.
The occurrence of all types of paramesonephric duct abnormalities in women is estimated at around 0.4%.
If you have an anteverted uterus, it means that your uterus tilts forward at your cervix, toward your abdomen.
Most women have this type of uterus. A a uterus that tips backward at your cervix is known as a retroverted uterus. The uterus of yours is normal in size.
