What Does Normal Sized Anteverted Uterus With Thin Endometrium Mean?
Hi, I m nashra from Philippines, regarding my ultra sound diagnosis, it s setts normal sized anteverted uterus with thin endometrium, left ovarian cyst,as described, normal right ovary. The left ovary is cystically enlarged as measured, unilocular, thin walled, anechoic. Please explained to dr. Thanks. God blessed.
Your finding suggests left ovarian cyst. Simple ovarian cysts may regress with time (usually within 5-6 months). So,I advise only for follow up ultrasound. It may require surgical intervention if there is pain, infection, increase in size etc. Tumour markers like CA-125 should also be assessed.
Rest of the findings are normal. Uterus is normal in size and echotexture.Anteverted uterus is a normal position of uterus. Thickness of endometrium depend upon stage of menstrual cycle.
