What Does Numbness And Pain In Hands And Leg Indicate?
I am 50 years female, residing in Thane, Maharashtra, India. From last 4 months I am having this problem. My both forehands become numb and pain when I get up in the morning. This happens more on cold day or if I sleep under fan / AC. After some body movement, it comes back to normal. Today, I found it happening to my legs also. My blood pressure is normal 115 - 75 and I have normal blood sugar. There are not any other complications. Please advise.
Your symptoms suggest that you have poor blood circulation in your extremities because of which your hands and feet become cold and numb when the room temperature goes down due to AC or cold weather. If you are a diabetic, then you must try to control your diabetes well as it increases the risk of complications like peripheral vascular disease. In this condition blood supply to the legs and hands is reduced due to narrowing of arteries leading to pain, numbness and cold hands and feet.
Stay physically active throughout the day. Do some brisk walking in fresh air outdoors for atleast 30 minutes daily. This will help to improve blood circulation.
Cut down on your intake of fat from butter, ghee, fried foods like samosa, puri and paranthas. Have low fat toned or double toned milk. Remove cream from milk.
Include plenty of fresh fruits in your diet and have vegetables cooked in less oil and raw vegetables in the form of salads.
