What Does Numbness In The Arms And Legs Indicate?

my friend who is 75 has episodes of numbness in her arms and legs...and she is not able to move them. They last for no more than 4 to 5 minutes but happen any time...whether she be sitting in her chair or walking. She does complain of dizziness. She denies chest pain. It happens on both sides of her body at the same time.
