What Does Numbness In Tongue And Lips Indicate?

I ve been experiencing numbness in my tongue, and it seems that when I move my head sometimes I feel an almost mildly electric shock and my lips go numb. I ve also been experiencing uncontrollable urges to stretch, especially my legs, at night. The need to to full body stretch woke me several times last night.

Hi dear ,

The symptoms you mention in query are probably due to nerve dysfunction . Sometimes nerves like glossopharyngeal nerve get injured or pinched during dental procedure and due to any other reason will cause such symptoms . But there can be other reasons also like canker sore , dry mouth (xerostomia) , side effects of any medicine or diabetic neuropathy . I would suggest you to consult oral surgeon for proper examination and to rule out above conditions . Doctor may prescribe medicine which has anti inflammatory effect on nerves and supplement like neurobion forte .
