What Does Oily Discharge After Bowel Movement Indicate?

I had a bowel movement last night and there was oily orange discharge floating in toilet. That was the first time I had seen that until I urined and upon passing gas I notice a little of the same thing. What is causing this? I started taking ferrous glouconate regiment a month now. Could this be a factor?

Hello,

You are taking ferrous glouconate, avoid taking antacids and antibiotics along with it to avoid allergic reaction. Take plenty of water, stay well hydrated. You are observing oily discharge after bowel movement. You are suggested to get urinalysis and stool examination both R / E and C / S done at the earliest to detect the presence of any fat, oil, fresh blood, etc., in the stool.

It may be indicative of malabsorption, IBS, liver dysfunction or gall bladder problem. Get clinically examined, get required blood tests and investigations done at the earliest. Get treated. Take quality sleep at night, prefer boiled food over oily food, stay away from addictions if any. Avoid trans fat, full fat dairy products, red meat for a couple of days.
