What Does Ovarian Cyst Mean?

I have just been told that I have ovarian cysts and will be scheduled for an MRI in the near future. I am 67 and had a hysterectomy at age 31, due to fibroids. I was on HRT for 35 years. I would like some information to help me understand what this means. Thank you!
