Hi, I recently just had a semen analysis. Results as follows Sample Type:Fresh Semen Appearance: Opaque Semen Volume:2.0 Semen Viscosity: Liquid Semen pH: 8.5 Semen WBC Abnormal Forms: WMC S Noted Sperm Concentration0.7 Sperm Motility: 66% Normal Forms:8.5 Head Defects:24.5 Neck/Midpiece:30.0 Tail Defects: 37% I know the WBC is not necessarily good and the pH is not acidic enough, Though I don t quite know what it means
hello user, as per world health organisation (WHO) the reference range of human semen PH is 7.2-8.0 . however further studies conducted by reserchers reported that many variations existed in normal population and even persons with PH 8.5-9 were able to reproduce , so a revision is asked for by researchers - and if other parametres are within normal limits then one can have fertility with this PH too - however one possibility is of having an infection especially if WBC/pus cells are present in semen which can anyways be treated with antibiotics by physician. you can consult a specialist reproductive endocrinologist for further help . hope i answered your query - if satisfied please rate the answer
